SOD INSTALLATION

CHOOSING YOUR EXPERT TURF

Selecting the right performance grass is essential if you want your new project to succeed and look great for many years to come. Not all grass is created equal; some grow better in colder climates than others, while some feels softer than others or is more resilient to foot wear. Because not all grass is created equal, it's critical to deal with a reputable sod business like Banty to make sure you get the right turf for your environment and desired degree of maintenance.

OUR SOD IS TRANSFERRED DIRECTLY TO YOUR HOME OR PROJECT FROM OUR OWN FIELDS AND FARM.

The best way to deal with uneven or wilted grass is to install new sod. Compared to waiting for seeds to sprout, this method is faster at creating a lush outdoor area. It frequently takes more work than people anticipate to install new sod. Ignoring a few steps or installing the new grass incorrectly will cause it to become just as spotty as the old one. Allow our experts to install your new sod, and you'll be well on your way to a lush, new lawn. We guarantee proper installation.

Steps:

Sod Installation

SOD QUANTITY

You should clear weeds from the area that sod needs to be added. Ideally, they should be cleared 7 to 10 days before sodding and topsoil should be added as needed.

SOIL PREP

The area that requires sod added should be cleared of weeds. Before planting, they should ideally be cleared seven to ten days in advance, and dirt should be added as needed.

SOD INSTALLATION

Our new sod will be laid in a brick-like pattern. We will lay the first row in a straight line, starting at the bottom of the slope, and tying the pieces firmly together.

FERTILIZING YOUR NEW SOD

We sell fresh sod by the pallet or in rolls straight from our growing farms. Use the calculator on our website to determine how much sod is required.

WATERING YOUR NEW SOD

Soak the sod every day for about two weeks after installation. Reduce watering to a routine that is appropriate for the sort of sod you have and its surroundings.

MOWING

Once new growth has reached a third of the installed sod height, mow your newly created grass. Before the new sod has taken root, do not mow.
